Tournament series in Madrid and nearby towns 30

A listing here is a series and not a single date: a club's run of opens, a district's yearly tournament, a monthly blitz in a shopping centre, the federation's championships. Rapid and blitz dominate. La Didáctica, near Tribunal, plays a Saturday circuit through the winter and spring; Ajedrez con Cabeza in Chamberí publishes a monthly programme; Moratalaz, Móstoles and Tres Cantos hold international opens.

Districts and towns add their own: Chamartín's multidisciplinary day, the Vicálvaro district tournament, a festival in Torrelodones, tournament weekends in Tielmes and Pinto. The page sorts the series by date, announced editions first and then the most recent ones played. Formats, fees and entry limits change between editions, so the organiser's page linked from each card is the place to confirm things before you travel.
