More about this list

Collado Villalba lies at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama, north-west of Madrid, and two clubs carry its name. Club de Ajedrez Collado Villalba organises the town's international open, held in late summer at the Salón El Capricho and numbered well past its fortieth edition. 64Villalba plays in the federation's leagues from Calle Real and has organised a youth-week open; a Three Kings tournament in the town carries its name.

Madrid Chess Academy works from the town too: its name is on a closed master tournament in January, on an international open that runs through the spring together with 64Villalba, and on a youth team event announced for the autumn. Regular club evenings are not stated on any of the pages read, so the cards show dated tournaments and no weekly timetable; ask the clubs directly about casual play.
